Microsoft earlier announced a skip ahead “ring” for Windows Insiders in the Fast Ring in July, allowing them to skip ahead of the current Windows Insider builds, and jump to pre release builds as well as receive early updates to in-box apps like Groove, Mail and so on. On the day it was announced, Microsoft’s Insider team made it very clear that spaces on this were limited and that not everyone who wants in would be able to get a space.

A week ago it seems that the entry window has closed, and the feature was now no longer available.

Multiple sources however now, however, report that Creators Update Insiders on the release preview ring can now once again Skip Ahead to the Fall Creators Update.

Some have suggested this indicates the OS update is nearing release, and that Microsoft wishes to test more widely the actual upgrade procedure hundreds of million users will be performing in the next few weeks.

The feature can be found in the Windows Insider Programme section of your Settings.
