Silicon Valley's fifth season sees cast using Surface Book on-screen

Microsoft is known for product placements on TV and NFL in the past. Now it looks like the company has struck a deal with another TV show to use Surface devices.

The premiere of the fifth season of Silicon Valley sees crew using Surface Books in the background. It looks like Microsoft has signed another deal with Silicon Valley to use Surface Books on-screen for the cast. While this is not the first time Microsoft has chosen TV Show for product placement, Silicon Valley might be the perfect place for them advertise the Surface lineup.

Unfortunately for Microsoft though, not everyone in the show uses Surface Book as there are MacBooks seen as well. This might suggest that Microsoft just signed the deal for the lead cast of the show or seeing a Surface device was purely coincidental. In any case, it surely will help Microsoft to spread the word around about the new Surface devices.
