SE Xperia X2 to be exclusive to Vodafone in UK

We don’t know for how long, but apparently if you want the new Sony Ericsson Xperia X2 you will need to sign up with Vodafone in the UK.

The smartphone will come with the XPERIA Services, an after sales package designed to help XPERIA X2 users get the most out of their mobile phone, with services such as a dedicated support line and device insurance for instant replacement.

No release date has been announced yet, but the device is expected in “early Q4 2009” which could mean very soon, likely the 6th October, the Windows Mobile 6.5 launch day.
