A recent patent filed by Samsung suggests that Samsung might be interested in planning a new design for its Galaxy Buds. The patent gave us a brief overview of the design and functionality of the wireless earbuds.
According to the patent, Samsung’s Galaxy wireless earbuds will be powered by a coin-cell battery which you will also be able to change if need be. The battery tray slot can be opened by pressing a switch which is in close association with the battery tray. The switch serves a dual purpose as it can also act as the power button.
Galaxy wireless earbuds when in the process of replacing the battery, you won’t notice any degradation in performance, meaning you’ll be able to listen to your favorite song in that period too.
Samsung might also offer an alternative design wherein a mini jack is could be included for charging purpose. Other things include an elastic ring in the inner surface of the battery tray slot, a contact terminal between the inlet of the slot and a bottom of the slot.
The patent was published by USPTO on April 25 and filed by Samsung in the month of May last year.
And as the case with most of the patents, this might be not be translated to a real product. So hold your horses until you hear anything from the horse’s mouth.
