Office team is going to announce something big tomorrow. Based on the teasers posted by some Office team members, it looks like Microsoft will announce dark theme support for Outlook and other Office apps. Outlook’s Head of Design tweeted that they have crafted every single part of the app on iOS/Android.
One switch can change everything.

Microsoft Outlook for Windows already supports dark mode with Office Black theme. Even when you enable this theme, reading pane was still displaying text with white background. Microsoft recently rolled out an improved dark theme in which you will also see the reading pane with a dark background. You can read more about it here.
