rollingthunderChris Weber, head of Nokia USA, has said Nokia will be launching their attack on USA in what they call “Operation Rolling Thunder”.

“We will be launching a portfolio of devices in the U.S. across a range of price points, user experience and operators,” Weber said in an interview. The rollouts are referred to internally as “Operation Rolling Thunder,” he said.

He called the new Nokia Lumia 710 on T-Mobile “just the beginning of Nokia’s effort in the U.S.”

While the Nokia Lumia 710 is just a beach head, the real D-Day is likely to be a CES, starting Jan. 10, where a high-end device for AT&T and possibly Verizon is expected to be announced.

AT CES, “we’ll have a very large presence and it’ll be clear that Nokia is back in a quite strong way in the U.S.,” Weber said.
