Besides possibly leaking a new Nokia Windows Phone, Nokia’s developer call to arms may have also leaked a new development environment for Windows Phone.
The video makes reference to “Visual Phone Expressâ€, which, if it is similar to Microsoft’s other Express products, is presumably a simplified and free version of Visual Studio specific to phone development.
At present the full development stack for Windows Phone is free, and we do not of course know if this will remain this way. More interesting would be if Microsoft releases a simplified product which unleashes the inner developer in all of us.
