Engadget has caught up with Microsoft at Computex and was shown their new REAL tablet OS, Windows Embedded Compact 7, in a Tegra 2 powered demo device.

The demo unit had a custom social-network based UI, but also showed off a pretty good browser implementation and media gallery.
