Earlier this year, Microsoft launched the Surface Go as an alternative to Apple’s iPad Pro which gave users an opportunity to try out the Surface device without breaking a bank. The device was launched at a price tag of $300 and was made available in selective markets soon after the launch.

Now it looks like Microsoft is gearing up to launch Surface Go in India as well. For the launch of Surface Go, Microsoft has partnered with Flipkart and the e-commerce website has put up banners with the hashtag #OnTheGo to tease the launch of the device. Flipkart has also set up a dedicated page where you can find some more pictures of the device. Unfortunately, neither Microsoft nor Flipkart has mentioned specifics of the launch yet including the pricing and even the date of the launch.

The Surface Go comes with a 10-inch PixelSense display with a resolution of 1800×1200 pixels and is protected by Gorilla Glass 3. Under the hood sits an Intel Pentium Gold 4415Y processor which is paired with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The Surface Go also sports a USB-C port alongside the 3.5mm headphone jack. The device also has an 8-megapixel camera at the rear and a 5-megapixel camera for the front. The tablet comes with Microsoft’s trademark hinge mechanism that helps to adjust the tilt angle. Microsoft Surface Go runs on Windows 10 which will allow users to install apps ranging from Microsoft Office to Adobe Photoshop without issues.

While the launch date and the pricing is still not clear, we certainly hope Microsoft follows aggressive pricing to make sure it’s a worthy competitor to Apple’s iPad Pro and Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S4.
