During a session at WinHEC conference, Microsoft discussed about Ultra High Definition, its importance and how Microsoft supports UHD in Windows 10, as well as actions for partners to provide compelling experiences. An UHD display will have 4K resolution, higher frame rate, improved color gamut, great dynamic rance and more. Microsoft will have native support for UHD in Windows 10. Windows 10 will have HEVC decode with hardware offload and supports wider color gamut and greater precision for color accuracy.
