While Windows Phone does not have an official Tinder app, we have had a few other dating apps arrive on our platform.
The latest is Happn, a location-based dating app which will alert you to other Happn users “who cross your path” ie. who would regularly be in the same area as you, be it at home, at work, in the park or using public transport. The app styles itself as the solution for “missed connections”.
Every time you cross paths with someone in real life, their profile shows up on your timeline. You can check out the profiles on the timeline whenever you want. You’ll be able to see the number of times you’ve crossed paths with someone, as well as the time and place of your last encounter.
You can then like them and if they have also liked you will be able to message them. Â You can also send a charm to draw their attention (free from women, but at a fee for men).
Because you both have to like each other, you will not receive unsolicited messages.
The app is free and men get a small allocation of free Charms when they join.
Try the app in the Windows Phone Store here.
