Google years ago built in support for its Cast API into Chrome so users could cast audio or video from any site either with Chromecasts, Google Home devices or other cast enabled receivers.

The firm’s cast interface was always a little limited and simplified. Now, the firm is updating it to take on more google theme elements, bringing it in line it the casting experience on the Google Home app (Another hub for casting to devices around your home)

It’s also now easier to stop an ongoing cast and select what you intend to cast with the new cast selector. As ChromeUnboxed points out, it’s not complete yet; you can’t adjust the volume or pause/play media.

I do not see this on any of my Chrome devices as of yet; it appears to be a limited test (probably owing to the previous issue.)
