Tower Bloxx: New York is a really impressive strategy/puzzle game that has simple yet addicting gameplay (Video Review)!

Overall Score: 5/5TowerBloxx1

Although the gameplay concept is extremely simple, it is highly successful and when combined with the presentation and great lasting value, the game stands out as one of the better Windows Phone games available.

Gameplay: 5/5

The concept is simple, drop swinging building pieces of an apartment/office in place and build as high of a building you can! Thanks to the incredible amount of gameplay variation, like multipliers for when you drop blocks perfectly in a row or special challenge cards in the board game. And the controls are so simple, just tap to release the swinging block. The game becomes extremely addicting thanks to all these gameplay variations which keep it interesting.

Presentation: 4/5

The visuals are supposed to be cartoonish, and they achieve that perfectly. It seems like they could have made the animations of the building swaying better, but it is instead at a low rate animated sway. Other than the visuals, the sounds are incredible. The sound effects are perfect for the game, and the background music is actually really great.

Lasting Value: 5/5

This game will last over 4 hours if you only play the Board Game mode. If you play the other modes, like Quick Game or the time trials/co-op games/challenges, you will definitely get over 5 hours worth of gameplay. It’s rare to see this many different types of gameplay modes bundled into a game, but it is definitely appreciated!
