OneNote is the premiere note taking app on Windows 10, but sometimes you don’t want anything as complicated and powerful as that application, and would rather have something closer to simple paper.
Penbook bills itself as the nicest freehand writing experience on Windows 10. The app, which supports the Surface Pen, but can also be used with your finger and mouse, includes dozens of stationary designs, from graph paper to sheet music. You can even import your own photos or PDFs to write on. You can also your work organized with beautiful, customizable notebook covers. Create in portrait or landscape mode, and share and export your work with just a few taps. Penbook was built for pens (but you can use your finger or a mouse, if you want), and includes support for Surface Dial.
The app, which normally costs $9.99, is currently on promotion and completely free.
