Update: CS:GO’s Panorama UI update is now live for everyone. According to the patch notes from July 6, 2018, “Users can now opt in to the Panorama UI on Windows and cross-play with their friends by adding -panorama to the CS:GO launch options.”

Original: Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s Panorama update goes live today in beta. This is set to bring one of the game’s biggest UI and visual changes in nearly six years.

“Today we’re launching a preview of the all-new Panorama UI for CS:GO,” said the announcement on CS:GO’s website. “This visual overhaul is the most substantial change to the look and feel of CS:GO since the game was released in 2012. From the Main Menu to the Scoreboard, the entire experience of interacting with the game has been updated.”

Instructions on how to opt into the beta can be found below, per Steam.

  1. Open the Steam client and navigate to your LIBRARY.
  2. Right click on CS:GO and select ‘Properties’.
  3. Click on the BETAS tab.
  4. Select the beta you would like to opt into through the drop down box.
  5. You will be prompted to restart your client. After restarting, launch CS:GO to play the game with its Beta changes.

This particular release of Panorama UI only supports “Practice with Bots” right now. You are also able to play with a friend by joining a party and starting a practice session.
