Microsoft today released the HoloLens emulator, which means users can now get an idea of how the HoloLens works without spending $3000. Of course, this is mainly for developers who are looking to develop applications and games for the HoloLens. However, as Microsoft noted, to test your app or game out properly, it is important for you to have an actual HoloLens to checkout the user experience.

You can download the emulator here.
