In a recent post on X (formerly Twitter), Asus released a teaser for its upcoming handheld gaming device, suggesting a collaboration with Xbox. The teaser featured the ROG Ally handheld alongside Xbox branding, hinting at the much anticipated Windows-powered device optimized for Xbox gaming experiences. Coincidentally, the announcement also comes just days before Nintendo’s Switch 2 console reveal is to take place.

The ROG Ally is known for its powerful performance and compatibility with Windows 11, offering a versatile gaming experience. The short-lived teaser featured a small robot in the process of upgrading itself, but it gets stuck with a gaming device and a controller at the nick of time, hinting at the Xbox collaboration. This could mean that a potential Xbox Game Pass integration and exclusive features could be seen for the device.
Nintendo’s Switch 2 Direct is set for April 2, 2025, at 9 AM ET and will be streamed live on Nintendo’s official YouTube and Twitch channels. More information on the Asus ROG Ally is anticipated in the coming weeks.
