AGCM, Italy’s antitrust authority, had fined Apple 10 million euros for “aggressive and misleading” marketing related to iPhone water-resistant capability.
Apple advertised that several iPhone models were water-resistant. But Apple did not mention in ads that they were water-resistant only under certain circumstances. In addition to aggressive claim on ads, Apple iPhones were not covered by warranty in case of damage from liquids.
