Mashables has polled their large audience for their festive season gifting stats, and the result shows a pretty good showing for the new entrant, Windows Phone 7. While the graph in general reflects US market share, with Android leading, followed by the iPhone, Blackberry performed rather poorly, with only 9.4%, and Windows Phone 7 with 10.3% is punching above its current market share weight, likely showing either some efficacy to Microsoft’s marketing or that the OS does appeal to Mashable’s more technical audience.

With Windows Phone 7 predicted by some to be unlikely to reach double digit market share, the result is a pretty good showing for the new OS.
