We have seen many Windows Phone handsets launch in India, but precious little from Pakistan.

That’s about to change however as QMobile Pakistan has just launched the QMobile W1 handset in the region.

The affordable Windows Reference Design device features a 1.2 Ghz processor, 4 inch WVGA screen, 512MB RAM and 4GB Storage, a 5 megapixels camera and 1950  mAh camera for PKR 6,999.

Peter Han, Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, OEM Division, Microsoft Corp said:

“We are excited to welcome QMobile’s W1 device to the Windows Phone family. The W1 enables more customers to personalize their Windows smartphone experience with capabilities like Live Tiles and Action Center.”

Mr. Zeeshan Akhtar, CEO of QMobile commented:
“I am very excited about QMobile’s new offer. Our customers will now be able to enjoy easy Windows browsing, enabling everyone to be even more connected to the world and bringing quality to their personal handsets.”

The device is already available at all QMobile Stores, Outlets, Mobile Galleries and Franchises and other distributing partners nationwide.
