As part of today’s momentous news Microsoft and Nokia posted a rationally for the merger, which spoke of accelerated innovation, including new form factors.

Interestingly however the image used to illustrate these new form factors were all current generation Nokia devices, including the Nokia Lumia 1020 and its camera case, Nokia’s wireless charging plate, Nokia’s wireless charging stands and their various audio accessories.

In fact the only item in the picture which does not exist already is what appears to be a bracelet, which could be Microsoft’s long rumoured smart watch, with what appears to be a curved screen.

The watch was rumoured to be:

The smartwatch prototypes which are now being part of Surface team is making variety of removable wrist bands in blue, red, yellow, black, white, and grey colors for smartwatches. Also these prototypes are made of Oxynitride Aluminum, an expensive “translucent aluminum” that is said to be three times harder than glass.

The variety of colours sounds pretty Lumia-like, doesn’t it?
