Nightdive Studios To Remaster Xbox 360 and PS3 Titles

Nightdive Studios has saddled up to remaster the games of Xbox 360 and Playstation 3, better known as the console generation. Nightdive Studios is a well-known developer that remasters old video games and brings them to modern consoles with some tweaks. Their well-known works include “System Shock: Enhanced Edition,” “Turok: Dinosaur Hunter,” and “Quake.” This makes a very strong case that they are great at what they do.

Now, remastering the games for Xbox and PlayStation 3 is a whole different task. Games from this particular era suffer from some very particular defects, such as lost or incomplete source code or difficult-to-emulate hardware. Since these games are from an older generation, most of their assets are in low resolution. 

Nightdive Studios is not just doing this because of the revenue or because they like challenges; many of the games released on these consoles hold a lot of memories and nostalgia. If Nightdive Studio succeeds, and that is a big ‘IF’, this will open many doors of success and opportunities for older games that can be remastered. 

Gamers are excited, they are already planning to play these games as soon as they open the beta testing for these games. We can expect a lot of improvements in the original games, as they will be made to fit today’s gaming expectations.
