Telltale’s The Walking Dead games are always popular and if you own them on Xbox 360 you’ll be able to play them on Xbox One now. According to a tweet posted by Larry Hryb a few moments ago, multiple The Walking Dead games are going to be backward compatible today. Yes, The Walking Dead, The Walking Dead: Season Two and The Walking Dead: Michonne are joining the program.

While this may be a confusing announcement for some, one of Microsoft’s goals with backward compatibility is to make sure that those transitioning from Xbox 360 will have a seamless experience. There’s nothing worse than losing your library at the beginning of another console generation so hopefully those gamers who have yet to make the switch will see this as an added incentive. I own all of these games on Xbox 360 and didn’t want to buy the updated version on my Xbox One. It’s great that I can finally play them with a better controller on the new console and make game clips. There’s definitively value here.
