Intel yesterday released its update graphics driver v15.45.14.4590 for Windows. With this driver update, Intel is finally bringing official support for the Vulkan API (version 1.0.33.0) on Windows. Vulkan targets high-performing real-time 3D graphics applications, like games, while giving low-overhead hardware control over GPU acceleration to developers, enabling games to better handle virtual reality or 4K HDR. This update also contains multiple optimizations to increase performance on popular games like Far Cry Primal, Fallout 4, and Rise of the Tomb Raider.
