Lumia Icon owners on Verizon are still waiting for Lumia Denim to roll out to their devices, and many Windows Phone users on T-Mobile will receive the update.

Its therefore very good news that the Windows 10 Mobile Technical Preview will not require Lumia Denim, according to Windows 10 Insider head Gabriel Aul, who tweeted:

This effectively gives Windows Phone users another route for leapfrogging carrier restrictions, and we hope this marks a trend where carriers have as much control over our Windows phones as they have over our Windows PCs.
