Google seems to be deploying AI in so many areas, just like what they did with the Duet AI tool. Now, after launching a “new era of AI-powered ads” on Google Ads, the tech giant released a “creative guidance” on how to make YouTube ads better using AI.

Google Ads’ new creative guidance tool can help advertisers with all aspects of their YouTube campaigns, from creating engaging creative to targeting the right audience.

Basically, it uses technology to analyze videos and provide feedback on how to improve their performance. For example, it can identify videos that are missing a brand logo or voiceover, or that are not the right length for the target audience.

“Creativity is the driving force behind memorable and effective campaigns. Today, that means having assets in a variety of formats, lengths and styles to reach your audience and get the best performance,” says YouTube ads’ VP of Product Management, Nicky Rettke, in the official blog post.

To access this, simply go to your Google Ads account and click on the Campaigns icon. From there, head over to the section menu, then click on the Assets drop-down menu and select Videos.

You’ll see the Analytics tab next to it and your video ad in the dropdown menu. From there, there’s a dedicated section called “Ideas to try”, which consists of Google’s recommendations to make your YouTube ads better.

As technology continues to advance, we envision AI becoming an essential creative partner for marketers, aiding in conceptualization, execution, and analysis,” the announcement reads.

The tool will be available to all advertisers by 2024.
