If you’re looking for a simple online trivia game, Pick it up Trivia is perfect for you.
Gameplay: 5/5
In Pick it up Trivia, you compete against everyone playing at the same time. There is always one large match going on, and you can see how you perform compared to everyone else. The variety of questions are excellent (and challenging, like real trivia should be!), and the pacing between questions is just perfect. The controls are smooth and fluid and everything about the gameplay is excellent.
Presentation: 5/5
The visuals are just as smooth as the controls! At the top of the screen, there’s a nifty visual indicator showing which questions you got wrong or right. Everything is animated with cross fades or slide transitions, and looks fantastic. And the background music fits well with the trivia theme.
Lasting Value: 3/5
Despite the huge and nearly endless amount of questions and truly excellent leaderboards, the lasting value could be improved in a number of ways. If you were able to select trivia categories yourself, then I would find myself wanting to play the game more. Also, if you could challenge a friend one-on-one, that could add more lasting value. Currently, Pick it up Trivia is fun for awhile but loses my interest a little too quickly.
