It appears that game gifting is now available to select Xbox Insiders and some Windows 10 users. If you have one of the new 1710 Xbox One builds, you can now see the option to gift a game when you open the Microsoft Store on your console. The same applies to those using a Windows 10 computer. Gamers have been requesting this feature for years and it’s finally making its way to Xbox One. It looks like Microsoft is quickly addressing a lot of these issues before the launch of the Xbox One X because they want it to be the ultimate system where you can do whatever you want, not just in terms of gaming, but also in terms of sharing titles and being more social when it comes to the hobby billions enjoy around the world.

Right now it’s unclear which games are “giftable” because some Xbox Play Anywhere titles are but some aren’t. I imagine it’s a case-by-case basis right now which they’ll roll out to other games in the Microsoft Store in the coming weeks or months. Hopefully Microsoft will make a formal announcement detailing which games will be available and what the logical behind it is. Until the, sit tight and explore the Microsoft Store. Gift a game to your friend and test it out!
