Yesterday, we got a sneak peak of the new Twitter app on Windows 10. Just ahead of the Windows 10 release, the company has released the new update for its official app and you can download it from the Windows Store right now. The latest update brings a lot of new improvements in terms of UI – however, when its come to features, there isn’t a lot of new stuff. Nonetheless, here’s the changelog:

  • Tweets with Twitter photos, Vine videos, and other select content now show a preview in your home timeline.
  • Share photos privately in Messages
  • You can reply, retweet, favorite, or follow someone straight from a Tweet in your home timeline.
  • Capture the moment by uploading multiple photos to a single Tweet.
  • Upload animated gifs and view in your home timeline.
  • Conversations are easy to find and join.
  • Reply, retweet or favorite straight from a Tweet!
  • See what’s happening right now without being logged in to your account.

And here are some screenshots:

The new Twitter app is indeed better than the old one – however, it isn’t top notch yet and it doesn’t beat the third-party apps like Tweetium just yet. It’ll be very interesting to see if Twitter releases a new update to improve the app – until then, you can check out the latest update here.
