Microsoft released a new firmware update for Surface Pro 5th Gen and Surface Pro 6. The latest update has no new features, as you’d expect from a firmware update, but improves the system stability. It’s now available for download via Windows update

Both Surface Pro 5th Gen and Pro 6 are getting the firmware version 5.2.139.0, with similar changelog — stability improvement.

Surface Pro 5th Gen is available from $749 and comes with Windows 10 Pro(i5, i7) and Home(m3) editions, the Surface Go starts at $699.  Here are the highlights of the Surface Pro 6, just in case you missed them:

  • High-res 12.3” PixelSenseTM Display designed to be viewed, touched, and written on
  • Available in two colors — Platinum, Black
  • Up to 13.5 hours of battery life
  • Intel® UHD Graphics 620
  • Windows Hello face authentication camera (front-facing)

Here are the highlights of the Surface Pro 5th Gen:
