Zune Web client and what it may mean for WP7

flyleaf Zune

One of the new Bing search spring update brings a nifty way to preview songs using a a pop up window powered by Zune. What I didn’t realize was that on the main Zune.net website, not only can you sample tracks  and directly make purchases,  but you can also use the Smart DJ feature to preview related tracks! Since I don’t currently have a Zune pass, I’m unable to ascertain if subscribing users are able to stream full songs or create playlists? The other great option is being able to view videos or listen to podcasts right there within the same website.

What this means is that if MS can incorporate Kin Studio like feature for Windows phone 7 and then include these Zune.net capabilities (streaming full songs and videos, make and edit playlists, listen to podcasts and Zune social) within it, this would be a killer feature that is currently unavailable elsewhere. If you haven’t checked out  Zune.net yet please do, you will be pleasantly surprised.

Please note that full song and video streaming and playlist editing is just speculation on my part and something I would like to see happen.
