A few weeks ago we heard that ZTE would finally bring the dream of a dual-screen folding smartphone that transformed to a tablet to life.
Now a picture of the ZTE Axon Multy has leaked, courtesy of Android Authority, with a bit more detail.
The device will feature 2 1080P screens that when opened up for a 6.8-inch tablet or run 2 apps simultaneously.
The device appears to eschew the complexities of a flexible screen for a more pragmatic near bezel-less display that is still in close approximation when opened up.
The device will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and a 3120 mAh battery, with a 20-megapixel camera, and ZTE is expected to announce the handset on the AT&T network on the 17th October.
The device is set to retail for the knockdown price of $650, aimed at promoting AT&T’s DirectTV streaming TV service.
While not as high concept as the renders we have seen before, it is still the closest we have gotten to the dream in years. Will any of our readers give it a try? Let us know below.
