GSMArena reports that the Vodafone 1231, a Windows Mobile Standard smartphone by ZTE, has just shown up at the FCC. The QVGA smartphone features GPS and a large 2.5 inch screen, but appear to lack 3G and even WIFI..
With this, and the relatively low spec which include a 1.3 megapixel camera and only 64 MB RAM, the phone is likely meant for the cheaper end of the market.
The phone measures 113 x 65.4 x 14.5 mm, weighs 130 grams and is powered by a 1100 mAh Li-Ion battery.
While ZTE is a relatively unknown ODM we have written about the company before. They are a very large Chinese company which is currently going upmarket with their products, and have chosen Windows Mobile as their flagship OS. While this phone may be rather low-end, I expect we will soon see some great devices from them.
