Zoom video conferencing exploded in popularity at the start of the pandemic, mainly because its invite-based system was so easy to use.

The app only has one major deficiency, however – that calls are limited to only 40 minutes for free users – less than ideal for home users, who could easily remain online for several hours.

Thankfully Zoom has a Thanksgiving present just for those users – unlimited time calls on the day.

This means the 40-minute limit for all meetings will be raised globally from midnight ET on Nov. 26 through 6 a.m. ET on Nov. 27.

Of course, if you want this feature forever, readers may want to try out Microsoft’s Meet Now feature in Skype, which is of course already free from this limitation, and which will soon be built into all Windows 10 devices.
