Zombie game shows another Windows Phone 7 3D engine in action

EvoFx Studio has posted this brief preview of his Zombie game for Windows Phone 7, using his EvoFx game Engine, which has a particular emphasis on lighting, using a deferred lighting system with ray tracing.

Fast forward to the 6:00 min mark for some great screenshots of the game.

On the xbox 360 the EvoFx Games Engine features:

First the Content Processors.

The Engine. Main Core

  • 128bit rendertarget on xp,vista and xbox360 64bit render target in full HDR
  • the engine runs 85% on the shader pipeline

Light 

  • the sky render is atmospheric scattering based on raylight and mie
  • the main lightning system based on ray trace of light beams and
  • subsurface scattering of 3d objects and light penetration of 3d objects 
  • adapt sunlight for all 3d objects in the scene from the sky

Shadows 

  • Depthbuffer pixelated shadows with softone for pixel perfect shadows

The results of porting the software to Windows Phone 7 is clearly spectacular, and suggests that lack of access to native code may not be so limiting after all.
