YouTube has made picture-in-picture mode available for all the Android phones for free. Earlier users needed to pay for YouTube premium to access features like picture-in-picture mode.
Starting today, users can access picture-in-picture mode without paying for YouTube premium. However, there are a few catches, irst off, picture-in-picture is only available in the US for now, so international users are out of luck. And secondly, picture-in-picture will work for most YouTube videos, but videos that contain music content will only work for paying YouTube Premium members.
Users need to tap the home button after opening a YouTube video to take advantage of picture-in-picture mode.
