15,000 Surface Laptop 3 PCs may be in limbo today if a report regarding a delivery delay is accurate.
According to Reddit poster Exoma “a miscommunication between UPS and Microsoft” has meant that thousands of laptops are currently stacked up in UPS locations, and will not meet with their owners today.
The report is corroborated in part by other posters who say their deliveries, booked for today, have also been suddenly postponed to tomorrow.
If you have to have your Surface Laptop 3 today, according to Exoma if you are close enough to a Microsoft Store you can simply purchase one there and decline delivery when the original does arrive, for a refund in 3-5 business days.
Others, however, report that their Microsoft Store is sold out of the new laptop, making this a risky strategy.
Probably the best course of action, unless your current PC is on fire, is simply to wait the extra day.
