Red Dead Online is a highly anticipated segment of Red Dead Redemption 2, but it might not arrive as soon as we’d hope.

If you want to root, toot and shoot throughout an online version of Red Dead’s map online, you’ll have to wait until late November.

This isn’t even for the full version online as Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick announced that this is when the game’s beta will launch. “It will launch in public beta towards the end of the month,” Zelnick said during an earnings call. “Rockstar will have a lot more to say about it.”

There is still next-to-no information available about Red Dead Redemption 2’s online component, other than a property and vehicle list leak, but we should expect it to be fairly polished.

What we do know is that the base single player game is quite good. In our review, we said that “Red Dead Redemption 2 is a beautiful and fantastic game that inherits its predecessor’s shortcomings”.

Red Dead Redemption 2 is available on Xbox One for $59.99/£59.99.
