You will soon be able to make Skype calls on your Amazon Echo

Amazon has built a global communication network via its Echo VOIP calls, but their network is still less than 100 million devices.

Now the company has opened up its communication API to 3rd party developers, with Skype being the first to support it.

With this integration, Amazon Echo owners can now call hundreds of millions of people using Skype around the world, including making Skype Out calls using Skype Credit.

Amazon did not say when this feature will become generally available.
