Xiaomi, well known for producing Apple-esque designs at lower prices, is putting its Mi Notebook Pro up for sale. The Mi Notebook Pro was announced in September this year. It featured top of the line specs with a 15.6inch Display, an 8th gen Intel processor, RAM up to 16gB and up to a 1TB SSD. It is very much billed as a professional laptop, and capable of handling most of what can be thrown at it
The PC starts from £764/$899 for the base model with an i5 processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of flash storage. Should you want to go higher, £976.09 will get you the i7/16GB/256GB equipped version. It is priced considerably cheaper than an equivalent MacBook Pro, the PC which Xiaomi models its own device on in everything from name to presentation – which isn’t a bad thing.
The main caveat is of crouse, that Xiaomi ships its PCs with a Chinese version of Windows 10. You’ll need to brush up on your mandarin or, more practically, follow this guide from Xiaomi’s forums to get your PC in English
