Xiaomi is refreshing its Mi Notebook Air device with some new specs. The new updates aren’t major, but they do bring some sweet performance improvements to the Mi Notebook Air.
The most notable change are the new Intel Kaby Lake processors on the Mi Notebook Air, which are clocked at 3.0GHz. The Kaby Lake processors are only available with the 13.3-inch variant of the device as the smaller 12.5-inch model is getting the 7th gen Intel Core M3 processor instead. Thanks to the new Kaby Lake processors, The Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch comes with up to 10% performance improvements over last year’s model, while the smaller 12.5-inch model’s performance improved by 12%.
Another new addition to the new Mi Notebook Air is the new fingerprint scanner which integrates with Windows Hello to let users easily log into their device. Apart from that, there aren’t any other changes in the new Mi Notebook Air. Customers will still get the usual 8GB RAM in the 13.3-inch variant and up to 256GB of internal storage, as well as the new Nvidia GeForce MX150 GPU. All of this gets you up to 9.5 hours of battery life on the 13.3-inch variant and up to 11.5 hours of battery life on the 12.5-inch variant.
The new Mi Notebook Air is available starting at CNY 4,99 in China.
