Xiaomi was supposed to be launching a successor to the Mi MIX 3, which is called Mi MIX 4, but the company left everyone surprised by announcing a rather futuristic smartphone, Mi MIX Alpha that features a wraparound display instead of the MIX 4. The Chinese giant then said it wouldn’t be launching Mi MIX 4.

The company, however, didn’t mention anything on whether or not it has completely shelved the Mi MIX lineup to pave the way for Mi MIX Alpha. Now, the latest leaks suggest that the company didn’t shelve the MIX 4 and the smartphone may see the daylight next year.

As we reported earlier, the Mi MIX 4 smartphone will be powered by Snapdragon 855+ processor coupled with 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage. The smartphone will pack a 4500 mAh battery which will be combined with a 40W fast charger.

Now, according to the latest leaks, the smartphone will feature a curved display with QuadHD resolution. The smartphone will give you three options for choosing the screen refresh rate — the traditional 60 Hz, 90 Hz, and 120 Hz.

Talking about the camera, the smartphone is rumored to feature a quad-camera setup at the back — 108MP + 20MP + 12MP + 5MP. For selfies, Mi MIX 4 will feature two under-the-display front cameras — 12MP + 2MP.

Under the display camera also means that we won’t see the slider design of the MIX 3 in the upcoming MIX 4.

We still have no information about the release date of the Mi MIX 4, but as per sources, the company will announce the release date at the end of this month.
