Xbox One hardware dollar sales nearly doubled in June 2018 when compared to last year according to the NPD Group

The NPD Group has released its data collected for the games industry in June 2018 and it looks like Xbox had another incredible month for Microsoft. While Nintendo took home the crown of having the highest unit-selling platform thanks to the NES Classic and PlayStation was the best-selling hardware platform in terms of dollar sales, Xbox One dollar sales have nearly doubled those of a year ago according to NPD analyst Mat Piscatella.

As for the industry overall, sales in June passed $1.08 billion, up 25% YoY. For the entire year so far, sales have exceeded $6.02 billion, largely in part due to software and hardware gains.
