This morning we posted on some high profile games disappearing from Marketplace, and unusually on this occasion we have received an explanation.
According to Karl Stricker, the Senior Business Manager of Xbox Live, the games were removed due to the licenses for the content expiring.
According to his tweet, the publishers of Fast&Furious, Start Wars:Cantina and Star Wars Battle for Hoth has asked for the apps to be removed from Marketplace.
Obviously this issue ads a new dimension to buying games from Marketplace – buyers who had to hard reset their devices or purchase a new phone may very well be out of luck when it comes to re-installing some of their games.
Think of it as Russian Roulette – Xbox Live Style.
