Xbox’s implementation of background music hasn’t been the smoothest, but it is slowly becoming a great addition to the console.

Announced today by Xbox’s Major Nelson, changes have been made to the console’s execution of the music streaming service Spotify.

Using the console’s Cortana feature, Xbox users can now use voice commands to control the application. Need to skip a song or increase volume? Just give a command to Cortana and she’ll help you out.

The introduction of Spotify to Xbox was a huge turning moment for music streaming, especially after the closure of Groove Music. With new options like this becoming available, Spotify finally feels at home on Xbox.
