While most eyes are turned to the desktop and mobile versions of the Windows Insider program as development of the Creators Update for those platforms comes to an end, the Xbox Insider program is still rolling ahead at full force. Microsoft announced a slew of new features headed to the system that Xbox Insiders will see in the next couple of weeks, and while tonight’s build for both Ring 3 and Beta might not contain them, it does bring a few improvements that some people will certainly appreciate.
These were posted in the form of a full changelog to the Xbox One subreddit by Brad Rossetti, the head of the Xbox Preview/Insider program. If you’re an Xbox Insider you can view the full changelog on the Xbox Forums by clicking here.
This build is rs2_release_xbox_1703.170317-1902, which previously rolled out to Alpha ring users. It contains miscellaneous fixes and improvements for both localization and performance, and will mostly be seen by users in the Beta ring – only a certain group of Ring 3 users will get this update for now, although every single member there will presumably get it later on.
Other things of note are the three known issues: game clips won’t post automatically to the activity feed, the wireless display app will instantly crash every time you try to open it, and the audio output page is currently a work in progress. This means that not every setting in there is functional, and an official announcement will be made when everything is ready.
