Xbox 360 Once Again Becomes The No. 1 Console In October In The US

Market research firm NPD announced their stats for the video game console market yesterday. Xbox 360 is back at No. 1 position being the most sold console in the U.S. market in October. About 166,000 units of Xbox 360 were sold.

NPD highlights from October include:

  • Total retail spend on the Xbox 360 platform in October (hardware, software and accessories) reached $283 million, the most for any console in the U.S.
  • During the month of October, Xbox 360 held five of the top 10 console game titles, including: “Batman: Arkham Origins,” “Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag,” “Battlefield 4,” “NBA 2K14,” and “Grand Theft Auto V.”

As Xbox One launch is just a week away, this might be the last time for Xbox 360 to become the No.1 console in the US.
