SpecialEffect is a charity that aims to put fun and inclusion back into the lives of people with physical disabilities by helping them to play videogames.
Tickets for X019 set to be priced at £19 per session, meaning you’ll have to buy several tickets based on which bits of the event you want to go to. The official Xbox website outlines it as such:
- Thursday night’s Xbox FanFest with Inside Xbox will cost ?19/ticket. You may purchase up to 2 tickets. The minimum age to attend is 18 years old. A photo-ID (drivers license/passport) will be required to enter.
- On Friday and Saturday, each day will be broken into a morning and afternoon session. You can purchase a ticket to each session (up to 4 tickets) for ?19 each. The minimum age to attend is 13 years old. Fans under 18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
During X019, you can expect nothing less than the finest Xbox experience. Hosted at the Copper Box Arena, the event is set to have world premiere hands-on gameplay, panels with members of the Xbox Game Studio teams, developer meet-and-greets and autograph sessions, and an on-site Xbox Official Gear Store featuring merchandise exclusive to the event.
For those unable to attend, you can always tune in to X019 online on Mixer, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Twitch.
This isn’t the first time Microsoft has partnered with SpecialEffect. The Xbox Adaptive Controller was created thanks to a partnership between Microsoft and organisations around the world, including SpecialEffect, The AbleGamers Charity, The Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Craig Hospital, and Warfighter Engaged.
Earlier this year, a unique Microsoft Surface collection was released, with certain units being available in an online charity auction. All proceeds from these charity units went to SpecialEffect.
