WSJ: Google to face an antitrust probe by US Department of Justice

After years of little oversight, US antitrust authorities are reportedly turning their attention to Google, and according to the Wall Street Journal‘s sources has been working for some weeks on the case.

The focus for the case is not known. In Europe Google was convicted of abusing their monopoly position in Search, Android and Advertising, earning more $9.3 billion in fines. USA last fined Google a mere $22.5 million for abusing privacy protections on iOS in 2012.
