WPDownUnder to maintain a “Where is my update?” page, embarrass Microsoft

WMBU

Microsoft, who is worth about $230 billion, and who is spending billions on developing and promoting Windows Phone 7, has found the task of maintaining a patch management information page for Windows Phone 7 too difficult, robbing anyone who actually wants to know what’s going on on their carrier and which ones may be doing better from a central location where the information can be found.

Never fear however.  The plucky Australians at WPDownUnder have a can-do spirit, and have taken the task upon themselves.

Of course the site does not benefit from the inside information which would allow them to know when an update is in scheduling or testing, but it should make it easy to know if your carrier has already started rolling out an update or is still lagging a few versions behind.

Just a pity Microsoft is not doing this themselves…
